THE JOYS OF A SINGLE CHARACTER.

Anyone you want in camp who's not in your canon?

Characters from cartoon shows! My Little Pony, Carebears, Space Ghost, WHATEVER I WATCHED IN MY CHILDHOOD because I don't want to be the only person apping into these things. Also, it would be great to see characters from Raymond E. Feist's Magician or characters from the Bordertownverse. Also, people from Psych so I feel less guilty about dropping Shawn.

Tales of Vesperia is one of the best RPGs out there because it is deliberately set out to thwart the RPG trope. And it does it spectacularly. Yuri is a hero with dubious morals, and it is continually addressed in the game and never brushed aside. Flynn is a guy with strong and consistent morality who has to deal with upcoming problems that threaten the world. It's fascinating to see them all develop! Even Estelle (for all her SHELTERED FROM THE WORLD PRINCESS TROPE) is intelligent and makes no excuses for her naivety. The whole game is a great focus on RIGHT AND WRONG, THE JOYS OF HAVING A FAMILY AND A TEAM TO SUPPORT YOU, CONSEQUENCES and so on. Also, despite the fact that characters could be at odds with one another and still cultivate a strong friendship is great to see.

also, it's one huge polygamy and I love polygamies.

Noooo, even without that drilling, it's still... the same. :x way to go boys.

It's out on the PS3 and Xbox360! And there's a manga, but it's slow. ALSO the entire thing is up on youtube and it's an easy watch.

Crazy fanbase, really.

Okay, so The Vampire Diaries starts off with a Twilight-ish premise and the first four episodes are pretty terrible. But as you go on, you find out that the brooding vampire is actually snarky and interesting and deeply empathic! And his crazy psychotic brother is actually crazy and psychotic and not horribly misunderstood. The heroine is not some damsel in distress and stands up for herself without any help! And her friends are not just there to show she has a social life, but have their own diverse and enjoyable storylines! The plot moves so fast it really grabs you by surprise, and the characters have lots of room to be fleshed out. Also, there's a lot of town and vampire history/lore that comes into play with mixing old with the new and I supremely enjoy that sort of storytelling. And it is one of the very rare TV canons that actively ships an OT3 instead of focusing on stupid things like ~love triangles~, ~sibling rivalry~ and so on.

Basically, if you missed Buffy, TVD is good for you.
